| SATPA TRUCK RULES 6000 & 6500 BONE STOCK Revised Rules 1/2008 SAFETY IS FIRST, LAST AND ALWAYS 1. Stock classes must be street legal and pass DOT inspection as per state vehicle is registered in. 2. Stock exhaust - headers allowed . 3. Bumpers must be stock ( front & rear ). 4. Stiff knees and lift kits allowed in both classes. 5. Trucks weighing less than 6000 lbs. can add weight in bed of truck to get to minimum of 6000 lbs. If truck weight is between 6000 – 6500 lbs, you cannot add weights anywhere or anyway. 6. Trucks will be inspected. 7. No racing fuel allowed, no type of injection ( i.e. Nitrous Oxide, Propane. Etc ). 8. Hitch height must be no higher than 20”… 9. Sled must hook to rear bumper or Category III Reese hitch. 10. Seat belts required and will be worn during the pull. No passenger allowed in truck or on the bed of a truck at anytime – Unless approved by a SATPA OFFICIAL. 11. If any objection to what is Stock or not Stock, Rules Committee will make decision. 12. If a truck is protested, there is a $500.00 protest fee for any situation that requires engine tear down . If truck is legal, person that is being protested will receive $400.00 --- If truck is illegal the protester keeps $400.00… Whether the truck is legal or illegal--- SATPA will receive $100.00 as per voted on and passed by truck pullers at their meeting on January 6, 2008. 13. Pull is not complete until you cross the scales. If you break, someone will pull you across the scales. If you elect not to go across the scales you forfeit your position. 14. IF ALCOHOL IS DETECTED AROUND THE DRIVER OR IN THE TRUCKS --- THE PERSON WILL BE IMMEDIATELY “ DISQUALIFIED “. 15 ALL SATPA GENERAL RULES WILL APPLY…... |
| SATPA TRUCK RULES ENCHANCED 5500 & 6200 STOCK Revised Rules 1/2008 SAFETY IS FIRST, LAST AND ALWAYS 1. Enhanced stock classes must be street legal and pass DOT inspection as per state vehicle is registered in. 2. Stock exhaust and headers allowed. 3. Bumpers must be stock ( front & rear ), 5500 & 6200 enhanced can have a front bumper with a Reese Hitch no longer than 24” beyond the furthest point of the body. 4. Stiff knees and Lift kits allowed in both classes. 5. Trucks must have a functional kill switch. 6. Racing fuel allowed, no type of injection (i.e. Nitrous Oxide, Propane, etc). 7. No super chargers, blowers, or turbos allowed on gasoline engines. 8. Any truck with anything other than a factory suspension must have drive shaft loops, front and rear. One loop per shaft – no chains allowed. Trucks with two piece drive shaft -- will have a loop on each shaft. 9. Hitch height must be a maximum of 20 inches – fixed. Hitches will be checked after each pull. 10. A category III Reese Hitch required and must be mounted at the original stock bumper position and the sled will be hooked to this. 11. Trucks must have a Fire Extinguisher on boar. Recommends that a five # extinguisher be used. 12. Seat belts required and will be worn during the pull.. | SATPA OPEN TRUCK CLASSES 6500 – 7200 – 7900 – 8200 GAS or DIESEL Revised Rules 1/2008 SAFETY IS FIRST, LAST AND ALWAYS 1. Trucks with automatic transmission must have blanket or transmission shield – Manual transmission must have a scatter shield. 2. All trucks will have a functional kill switch… 3. Trucks must run street legal tires of any size. 4. Cut tires allowed in open classes. 5. Stiff knees and lift kits allowed in all classes. 6. The front weight rack on trucks cannot extend beyond 24 inches from the furthest point of the body. 7. Racing fuel allowed, no type of injection ( i.e. Nitrous Oxide , Propane, etc. ). 8. No super chargers, blowers, or turbos allowed on gasoline engines. 9. Any truck with anything other than a factory suspension must have drive shaft loops, front and rear. One loop per shaft – no chains allowed. Trucks with two piece drive shaft – will have a loop on each shaft. 10. Hitch height must be a maximum of 20 inches – fixed. Hitches will be checked after each pull. 11. Hitch must be flat in all directions, D – ring with 3 inch opening. Must be a minimum of 36 inches from center of axle to the hook point. 12. 507 cubic inches – maximum cubic inches allowed. 13. Seat belts required and must be worn during the pull. 14. No passenger allowed in truck or bed of truck at any time—unless it is for instructional purposes and this will be approved by SATPA official. 15. Trucks must have a Fire Extinguisher on board. Recommends that a five # extinguisher be used. 16. IF ALCOHOL IS DETECTED AROUND THE DRIVER OR IN THE TRUCKS --- THE PERSON WILL BE IMMEDIATELY “ DISQUALIFIED “. 17.
